Summer Camp 2008 at Camp Horne was a lot of fun. We had nine boys attend and they brought back numerous merit badges and two troop awards. Five of the boys chose the trailblazer program and now are well on the way to First Class. This was our first time at summer camp since we started up the troop in February of this year. We recieved awards for our troop flag and for camp site inspection, unfortunately we were not able to compete in all the events, some due to the young age of our troop members, but some due to the boys unwillingness to compete. I hope to see a different attitude from the boys next year.

We have voted on a new Senior Patrol Leader and will soon be voting in the other Junior Troop Leaders. We will be moving forward on our efforts to implement a patrol system that uses the boy ran program methods. We will be holding a meeting to schedule/plan a year long program in the near future. Also we will have a junior leader training after we have voted in all of the offices. I am looking forward to seeing what will happen once the boys take over their program and start planning all of their meetings.
